Twice a year members can also add an annual transit Xpass to their account. The start dates are January 1 and July 1, with enrollment before.
Can I get an annual transit pass through Communauto Atlantic?
If Xpass enrollment is currently open you can apply for membership and add a transit pass to your application! If you are already a member make sure you are opted in for our newsletter as we will email you when enrollment opens.
We recommend pairing the Xpass with our Dynamic Duo plan, but you can pair it with any Value plan if another plan suits your needs better.
What is the benefit of the annual Halifax Transit pass?
Not only is it convenient to have a pass that you can keep all year, rather than having to replace it monthly, it also saves you money! The annual pass costs $78.75/month. That is a 12.5% discount off of the price of a monthly pass and a savings of $135/year.
The Xpass gets you access to all transit services, including regular bus, ferry, Express, MetroX and Access-A-Bus services for those who have separately registered with HRM for such services.
The transit Xpass is conveniently charged monthly on your Communauto Atlantic bill.
